What are macros? Split your day into protein, carbs and fat

Protein, carbohydrate and fat are the three macros that supply nearly all your calories, at roughly 4, 4 and 9 kcal per gram.

Slide a daily energy figure and a protein and fat share, and see the grams each one means, checked against the ranges EFSA gives for adults. Use it as a rough shape for a plate, not a prescription.
